Biker Group Concrete invests in two Sterling truck mixers

North Yorkshire based Biker Group are a long established family run company supplying a wide range of services to the construction industry, including Haulage & Aggregates, Groundworks, Construction and Bespoke Joinery to name a few. Readymix concrete is one of the expanding Businesses within Biker Group with a second plant now operational at Catterick in addition to their Thirsk Plant. Biker Group Concrete have taken delivery of two Sterling 8m mixer units installed on Renault C430 8×4 Chassis supplied through local Renault dealership Thompson Commercials. This acquisition was aimed at increasing their capacity for delivering high-quality ready-mix concrete to their clients across North Yorkshire and the North East

The Sterling Group, based close by in Stokesley, has built its reputation on supplying quality plant bodies across the UK for nearly 30 years and has more recently invested in a production line building truck mixers. Making use of a stock programme between Sterling and Thompson Commercials allowed Biker Group Concrete to take delivery in less than 2 months from placing the order compared to a factory lead time of at least 9 months. The Sterling design incorporates capped blades within the drum, ensuring the proper and consistent mixing of both wet and dry concrete mixes. This design enhances the quality of the ready-mix concrete, reducing the risk of inconsistencies and delivering a superior product to customers. The geometry of the helical coil provides one of the fastest charge and discharge rates of concrete in the truck mixer market. Maintaining efficiency is crucial for Biker Group Concrete, enabling them to meet customer demands promptly, maintain project timelines, and uphold their reputation for the highest quality of product and service.
