As their first 32T vehicle, this enables transport of new heavier platforms previously not possible such as their recently purchased JLG660SJ’s and 18mtr Manitou telescopic tele-handlers and also carry more smaller machines on a single load. Both of these factors help to increase efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint. This high-specification body includes unique non-slip composite flooring known as Gridlock, which offers unrivalled grip when loading rubber-tyred machines even in adverse weather conditions, but also saves weight and is easier to maintain than traditional surfaces.
This vehicle is fully FORS Gold compliant featuring the safety cameras and other systems required to protect cyclists and pedestrians allowing safe operation in London and other urban areas.
Mr Plant Hire continually invest in new equipment and the truck is pictured here loaded with one of their new to the fleet Skyjack SJ8841’s, now available for delivery across the South East.
Tony Crawford, Mr Plant Hire’s Director and Access Alliance Chairman commented, ‘we have used Sterling for several years now and find them to always deliver what they commit to, on time. They are very innovative and for example the Gridlock decking is very popular with the drivers, as loading is so much safer. Sterling works with many other members of the Access Alliance who also consistently receive fantastic service, which gives us further confidence in their ability.’
