The latest trucks include a number of upgrades to the specification, including the Sterling fold out handrail system and chock rails to the deck edges. The fall arrest system can be folded out to allow full width machines to be loaded safely, and the chock rails provides extra protection when loading small machines close the edges of the deck.
The latest pair of trucks joins 5 previous Sterling bodies which have been supplied since the first one in 2015. Fibreglass ‘Gridlock’ Decking, full width double flip ramps, remote control winches and numerous lashing points are among the other features which make these trucks so suited to transporting Access Platforms.
The Chassis were supplied by Jonny Devlin of Volvo Trucks and Buses Scotland.
Managing Director George Marriott confirmed ‘Stunning result for our new lorries yesterday. Big thanks to Jonny Devlin and all involved at Sterling Bodies!’
