Your primary job will be to fabricate and weld truck bodies from pre-cut parts to detailed drawings.

  1. Efficiency: A good Fabricator should be able to work quickly and efficiently, meeting or exceeding productivity targets. They should have a strong understanding of the Fabrication process, be able to follow instructions accurately, and minimize errors or rework.
  2. Quality: A good Fabricator takes pride in their work and consistently produces high-quality products. They pay attention to detail, follow quality control procedures, and ensure that all Fabricated parts meet the required specifications and standards.
  3. Safety: Fabricating products in a factory setting often involves working with machinery and potentially hazardous materials. A good Fabricator prioritizes safety, follows safety protocols, and maintains a clean and organized work area to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
  4. Teamwork: Fabricators often work as part of a team, collaborating with others to complete the Fabrication process. A good Fabricator communicates effectively, cooperates with team members, and contributes to a positive and productive work environment.
  5. Adaptability: In a factory setting, tasks may vary, and production schedules may change. A good Fabricator is adaptable and can quickly switch between different tasks, adjust to new instructions or specifications, and meet changing production demands.

Prime Role and Duties:

  • Working to the Fabrication build instructions to Fabricate and weld Beavertail trucks.
  • Ensuring to work safely at all times and adhere to Company H&S requirements.
  • Cutting and fabricating of steel parts
  • Welding – Down hand, Vertical and Overhead.
  • Ensure the housekeeping of the bay is to the required standard.
  • Any other duties as requested by your line management

Requirements:

  • Skilled in MIG welding.
  • NVQ Level 3 or Apprenticeship in Fabrication and Welding.
  • Good personal responsibility and awareness of safe working practices.
  • Good knowledge of basic hand and power tools related to trade to ensure correct equipment is used for each individual task.
  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings
  • Must be a reliable timekeeper.
  • Physically fit.

  • Daily progression percentage.
  • 5s Housekeeping score.
  • Truck throughput time
