Eveready Plant & Tool Hire has taken delivery of a new Sterling Megaload beavertail plant body, mounted on a MAN 8×2 32-tonne chassis and specified around the demanding requirements of its plant hire and transport operation.

Patent-Pending Traction Bars
Fitted across the slopes and rear loading area, the new traction bars provide additional grip when loading tracked machinery, supporting greater control when moving equipment such as steel-tracked excavators onto the deck.

8T Recessed Lashing Rings
Heavy-duty 8-tonne recessed lashing rings provide strong, multi-directional restraint points for securing substantial plant loads. Their recessed position also helps maintain a clear working deck when they are not required.

Heavy-Duty Wheel Plates
Reinforced wheel plates provide additional protection in areas exposed to concentrated wheel loads, improving durability when regularly transporting substantial wheeled machinery.
Together, these developments strengthen the Megaload in some of the areas subjected to the greatest demands during regular plant transport.
