Further to the previous announcement on 25th March regarding the Sterling Factory COVID-19 Shutdown we are pleased to confirm the Factory will be reopening in stages from Monday 4th May.
Truck manufacturers and our supply chain are now mostly open again at a reduced capacity giving us the confidence of parts supply. The message we are getting from our customers is that as more construction sites are reopening they are gradually getting busier. It is also clear that social distancing will be with us for the foreseeable future so we need to get prepared for the ‘new normal’ and find ways of overcoming these challenges.
We are making changes to the layout of our Factory and supporting areas to ensure we can adhere to COVID-19 guidelines and keep our excellent team and their families safe, which is our highest priority.
A small team will be starting on 4th May to reopen the warehouse and make changes to the production line and the main production will be starting a week later on 11th May.
We continue to be confident and upbeat about the future and believe we are in a strong position to support our clients and overcome challenges as we encounter them.
Clients who have trucks in build with us will hear from us directly in the next few weeks confirming the new production schedule.

"‘We have had Sterling bodies on the fleet since 2017 and they have always performed well for the machines that we operate. The backup support allows us to rely on maximum up-time for our delivery service to our clients. With the new livery and the enhancements to the specification, these trucks will allow us to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency for years to come.’ "
